Object Writing: Cousin

Cocooned in a sleeping bag, one for each of us, we slowly gathered the edges to push our feet to the far corners pushing against them as we hooded ourselves leaving only our faces visible. We collapsed in giggles trying to stand with our hands busy holding bag sealed around our faces, trying to heave with a momentum to stand us upright. Each attempt stumbled slowly upright until we were facing each other and between fits of laughter planned our escape to the kitchen. Two of the queens cards walking like penguins, their satin swish would have betrayed their position if their mischievous giggles had not already. That, and their heavy handed footwork that introduced them to a few walls and collapsed one to the floor. They were bent with chuckling bodies, caught in fits that squeezed water from their eyes and caused their stomaches to ache, laughing and tripping over each other. A cheeky parent played bad cop jumping out to instant screams and panic as the two cousins skittered a horrendously unbalanced path back to their room. A silent laugh burst from the parents, trying to hide the glee...
